Penny Gilley, dubbed “the Sweetheart of Country Music,” is celebrating 12 years of “The Penny Gilley Show” on RFD-TV! The weekly show, which debuted September 3, 2007 and is still going strong, has previously been taped in Branson, Missouri and Grapevine, Texas, and for the the past three years at Lil Red’s Longhorn Saloon in the historic Stockyards in Fort Worth, Texas.
Gilley says the Saloon, an award-winning honky-tonk in a building built in 1920, is the perfect venue for her “keepin’ it country” brand of entertainment.
“Lil Red’s is the real deal,” she says. “Whether you are a singer, a guitar picker, dancer, or just a fan, everybody can get down to the roots of real country and honky-tonk music.” Gilley adds that the “Cowtown” venue
